FISHERIES
The overall objective was to produce a user-friendly, comprehensive and reusable FiTI Report template adaptable by all member countries. The template is used for the production of the annual FiTI Report of approximately 75-100 pages by member countries, and is aimed at significantly enhancing the visual language of the FiTI Reports to enable better understanding by the readers. Given the desired open and modular approach, a core objective is also to provide a reusable template that will reduce production costs of such reports for FiTI implementing countries.
MondoForte was charged to:
(1) Tool selection
- Identify up-to 5 graphical tools that can be used to produce FiTI Reports in the future.
- Analyse strengths and weaknesses for each production tool according to the objective of providing an easy-to-use and adaptable design tool (e.g. usability, scalability, costs)
- Provide an unambiguous tool recommendation
(2) Report Design
- Develop a standard Report Design template based on Seychelles’ first FiTI Report, using the recommended production tool
- Provide a portfolio of graphic elements (e.g. images, icons, charts and text elements) related to transparency, fisheries and oceans that can be used to produce future reports
(3) 2nd FiTI Report Seychelles
- Conduct a know-how transfer session regarding the utilisation of the template
- Assist the FiTI International Secretariat to transfer the 2nd FiTI Report for Seychelles using the new report template and production tool
At the end of the contract. MondoForte delivered:
- A Standard template for annual FiTI Reports using recommended production tool
- 30+ graphic elements related to transparency, fisheries and oceans to be used for the reports
- A training manual for the usage and customization of the production tool
All deliverables were provided with the source files or codes together with all intellectual property rights.
